But we know Red John hides a dual personality. If he wished he would have hidden it in his "other" persona. As we know, Red John enjoys listening to classical music while I can hardly see the sheriff listening to Mozart taking the occasional sip from a cup of tea - the dual personality at work again. </div> <p>the problem here is that the sheriff wasn't even the first choice as RJ. So whoever you want to imagine as Red John, it is not the guy he ended up as. Not so sure about Heller and his trustworthyness anymore... </p>

I think I get what your driving at :) Because the options forRJ were left open by Heller until he made the decision, looking back too far can't prove or disporve or conflict with the result in reality. I'm sure there are things that would not make sense for all the suspects really. I can't imagine Reed or Haffner sipping tea and listening to classical music either... in fact I'd probably only picture Stiles or Partridge doing that... you see what I mean?  </p><p>I don't think we should expect everything to link up perfectly because Heller was on the journey to find out who Red John was for himself for part of the creation of this series... which is actually kinda cooler than knowing all along who Red John was in a way.  </p>

<p>I have to disagree... because at the end he just throws clues at us that only tend to confuse us. And Heller choosing RJ one year ago kinda seems like "Oh, I don't have a clue who's the best choice now... he is mar... Rebecca's death... O'Laughlin... AH, I know, let's make him the sheriff." </p><p>Depends on one's opinion if you like this or not I guess.. I myself wasn't a fan choosing someone out of the blue, but on the other hand, if you choose too early, you must not forget that it's just a show. Anything could happen to the actor you choose and then when you have him play the role, he's got other roles to play or might get a disease (not to mention maybe die or something like that :-/ ). But you tend to oversee that aswell when you just look at the show itself, you want good explaination and you don't really care about the actors themselves and their lives. So it's just ok... </p>

<p>I think it was a pretty good episode and reveal, definitely better than if it had been Bertram. The season as a whole was good at leading up to the confrontation, but I'm a little bit disapointed by the fact that it barely ties in with old seasons. I'm sure there are a ton of different nit-picky ways that it doesn't make a whole lot of sense, but one of the things I was most disapointed by was that Bret Stiles always sort of implied that he knew who Red John was, and Red John even worked at that farm for visualize at one point, yet Stiles's just killed off like it's nothing. He even had some quote about Red John and Patrick being little men compared to him, and he knew the address where Red John was holding Kristina Frye. I didn't think he was Red John, but I always thought it was implied he knew who Red John was, so it was disapointing to see his character just casually tossed aside. Red John didn't even mention or seem to notice him.  </p>

<p>To be honest I didn't know who he was, but now thinking back, when they reveal 3 of them having a tatoo the choise was kind of obvious, when we had a glance of Red John in previous episodes, he was slim and neither Bertram nor  Smith were... </p>

<p>Just so you all know there was a massive clue in season 5 episode 22 (the last in the season) out of the 7 photos Jane gives Lisbon only 6 are correct McAllisters photo is wrong </p>
