I personally do not think McAllister is Red John. It is too easy, and we are just mid-season. The clues don't exactly point to him. "RJ" is barely seen in the whole series, he is seen in the very beginning and almost never again.

I would other people's comments/theories what have you =D

McAllister was Red John!

Pretty good one I would sayit. I think the end was also extraordinary. If you think too much you cannot see the reality.

I was just dissapointed that he begged for his life. I dont believe Red John would do that. I expected him to accept it or at least know that Jane had planted the gun. After all these years of being one step ahead he seemed to be caught and killed too easliy.

Quote: Guys, McAllister is Red John and he is a damn good one at that... The actor did a terrific job and it makes perfect sense that your ultimate villian of the series is not a character that is prominently seen, like Bertram, who would make the audience suspect that they are Red John.

At last, a sane person on here...

In an interview with the writers of the show, they vigorously claimed the death of Red John. http://www.zap2it.com/blogs/the_mentalist_after_red_john_then_what_simon_baker_creator_bruno_heller_tease_janes_future-2013-11

Here you will find their strategy to stray off the idea of Red John as they would like to instill the gravity and real-ness of the death of the main antagonist.

Given that the seventh installment of the series might be their last, ergo the conclusion of the series and all of its story, I believe that Red John is truly dead, may it be McAllister or a n unknown man who has been dead all along only to be revived by McAllister.

Nevertheless, the story might divuldge in the dismantling of Blake Association with plot twists.

I personally still think Partridge is Red John......... his voice sounded very much like Red John's over the phone and that whole voice changing bullshit with McAllister was just plain crap, McAllister being Red John is a very disappointing ending.....McAllister doesn't even strike me as the Serial Killer type. Although i feel Red John's presence on the show is anything but done.....

Dammit, what the hell do you think this is, some kind of ridicious debate? Red John story is over and that McAllister was Red John. Get that through your heads and move on.
