<p>She wasn't popular among fans because fans we're jealous of her trying to get in the way with Jane and Lisbon, among other reasons.

I think the departure is for the best story wise. It doesn't make sense for Jane to have her as a partner when he already had Lisbon.

It was mentioned in the premiere episode that Fischer transferred to the Seattle FBI office to be with her mother who suffered a stroke.
