<p>Well, not a surprise at all, and is good for me. The show no longer has material to continue for more seasons. </p>

I wish the show never ending

<p>Late last night (April 2, actually) I finally watched the final, double-episode of The Mentalist. (I like to stretch them out because of the show coming to an end.) </p><p>I had put this off an extra couple of weeks because of seeing mentions of possible tragedy. Still reeling over the loss of Vega, I did *not* want to endure yet another. ALL the way through both parts, my stomach was in a knot, until the last few minutes. </p><p>I really REALLY hated to see this show end. Another two seasons, at least, would be fine by me. But as series finales go, this one was the greatest. It was truly joyful and the EW&F song at the end was perfect. If a series has to end, that's the way to do it. I just wish Vega could have been there. </p><p>I'll rewatch the entire series from Season 1.  </p>

<p>Watched it fully twice over. Absolutely perfect, perfect tv show.  </p><p>In the end, you really feel that final sense of closure. The hell they (and we) all went through, the sheer sense of celebration that they all got through it, in one piece, together and happy. The camaraderie, teamwork has absolutely been my favorite part of the show from beginning to end, with the culmination of both old teams and new at the wedding.  </p><p>Even with the senseless Vega situation (in my personal opinion), this truly has been a remarkable effort from Bruno Heller, the rest of the creative team and the actors! </p>
