I am sure Kristina was an accomplice of Red John. Aprart from obviosu hints like her red hair, there is one damning clue: when Jane and Kristina go on their *date*, Kristina does a ocld reading on the waiter, saying 'roll-tide' to him. Later, when Red John 'saves' Jane from the imitator-kids, he whispers to him in his ear: Kristina says hi... roll-tide.

This is a clear confession that Kristina's cold reading of the waiter was a set-up, the waiter is a Red John accomplice as well, and they set the whole thing up to confound Jane.

Kristina's last use to Red John and her ultimate sacrifice is to be used and abused by him so as to be transofmred into that catatonic wretch all the better to taunt Jane, who will thus never know she was herself a tool of RJ.

Red John a.k.a Sheriff Mcallister may have predicted that Lorelei may reveal that he shaken hand with him(Jane) and Red Joh did his own research on the possible people with the same method as Jane's.This is just my theory.

Bruno Heller didn't explain how it happened ,but Sherriff Thomas McAllister told jane before his death that he knew about the list by using his psychic power, but i think that it may be a good guessing or something like that.

So, then ...

I think Jane's dad, Alex Jane, makes the best serial killer Red John-- colorful and we have an interesting background probably including time at Visualize. Plus, Alex Jane pretty well matches the old RJ descriptions.

But, Jason Lennon (the womens' shelter killer guy Jane catches and Lorelei shoots the last time Jane and Lorelei meet) is a good prospect, too.

Either way, the old Red John has been killed off; the serial killer RJ is out of the game.

.
I'm sticking with Lorelei as 'Red John' working for the FBI to nail the Tiger Tiger group.

- Lorelei's death was faked & Jane knew it.

- The 'list of RJ suspects' came from Lorelei. Jane knew that, too. So, he accepted it as his list and pretended to be amazed by RJ's psychic powers.

BTW: The business of Lorelei torturing and killing Julia Howard (the woman who ran the womens' shelter) for information about the killing of Lorelei's sister? That was faked-- an FBI setup to deflect interest in Lorelei as 'Red John' and FBI. The fact that it 'happened' to be filmed by a hidden home security cam is the giveaway.

Lorelei's connection to Jane? Lorelei is "Carmen", the sick little girl who shows up in a flashback to Jane's carney days with his dad (in episode "Throwing Fire). The 'ancient crystal' (maybe with extra help from Patrick) worked! Carmen got well and grew up with fond memories of that carney boy named "Patrick Jane".

As the FBI's 'Red John', Lorelei easily walked in and out of federal prisons when she wished.

Lorelei built the 'Red John' organization depending mostly upon women recruited from shelters. Always presenting herself as Red John's trusted agent, she made sure her agents were well supported. (The agent who gave Jane the video and later took poison? Faked. Easy for the FBI. No telling how many other deaths of 'Red John'-Lorelei agents were faked.)

When I mentioned the FBI-Lorelei = 'Red John' idea to someone (named "Stoopkid") a few days back, he commented "the Blue Bird herself".

Darn interesting thought. (Maybe, even, psychic!) Fits so well. Lorelei's FBI code name could be "Blue Bird". That would mean Heller used the name of 'Red John' for the final episode!

.
I think Haffner is head of Tiger Tiger. So, maybe, Lorelei ends up shooting him to save Jane.

The 3-dot tattoo? Bet it's a red herring-- probably some harmless Law enforcement fraternity. So, McAllister and Bertram are not Tiger Tiger; may be that they are totally innocent.

.
No telling about the 'Jisbon' thing; may work out nicely as far as it goes. But, once Jane wakes up it will poof; and, Lisbon will know nothing about it.

Should be a good conclusion.

I think in finale of Season 6 the Real Red John will be revealed to be Patrick Jane - I think in past he self-hypnotised after killing his evil father Alex Jane because he couldn't handle the guilt, spliting off his bad self - this resulted in a schism in his personality with the guilty half manifesting itself periodically as Red John who has all the skills and knowledge of Patrick Jane. That is how he was aware of Patrick's childhood memorys and aware of the suspect list before Patrick and allways stayed one jump ahead. He has also hypnotised his cohorts not to recognise him when they meet but also subconciously protect him. Also they have carried out some of the killings of Red John to put the authorities off the scent even believing they were Red John such as Sheriff McAllister . I think it's an "in joke" that Simon Baker the actor who plays Patrick has been used as the voice of Red John. - John and Jane Doe = unidentified persons - Doe=DEER - The clues are there - ie Jane playing chess with himself - think about it am I right?

I think Red John ( Thomas McAllister survived secretly or there is a new serial killer . A new serial Killer is an absurd idea but lets see . And R.I.P JJ :( <3

Red John is a psychopath. He would never have admitted to remorse of any kind and certainly not to Jane. Nor would he have begged for his life. A most implausible and deflating end to this series. Feel cheated.

lisbon is the insider red john didnt kill her, thus painting her face with blood but a differnet symbol meaning she may be the next red john she knew first about janes list thus telling red john about it. anyone think otherwise?

Behind all that dumbness, there is an evil mastermind, i know it.

As many viewers have probably figured out, Jane has been in a coma since the end of the bomb blast episode. Since then, we have been experiencing Jane's dream.

Something that remains iffy is ... Was Jane injured by the bomb blast or by the shotgun blast which came before? If it was a hit by the shotgun, the dream may have begun then and the bomb going off may be a part of the dream-- i.e. a bomb never actually went off. ??? Right now, we don't know.

For sure, though, it is still the present (not two years later), Red John is alive and well and yet to be unmasked, Jane is in a coma, and we are into a series of pretty interesting dream episodes.

So, where do you expect the dream to lead?

Will the dream continue into the final episode?

Who do you think will be Red John?

I personally do not think McAllister is Red John. It is too easy, and we are just mid-season. The clues don't exactly point to him. "RJ" is barely seen in the whole series, he is seen in the very beginning and almost never again.

I would other people's comments/theories what have you =D

They will milk the suspense until the finale right?

This means they will reintroduce an old character that is in the Association, aka Walter Mashburn?

How the f*** can Red John react quickly to every situation? Napa county is 60 miles away @ and the traffic is awful, but Red John can still react to everything as quickly and accurate as possible. But...he is sheriff of Napa county, this is the sheriff,he can't be absent for too long and his job is an everyday job,he is a chief of the police afterall! How can the sheriff be absent and noone bat an eye?

Yes, of course, most of clues convincingly show us McAllister is Red John. The main clue we can see in the Red John episode Promo. It made most of people sure RJ must be Sheriff Thomas McAllister. When they revealed seven suspects, McAllister seemed to be one of best possibility candidate to be Red John. There was no evident reason why would we eliminate him not to be RJ. I really liked the idea of Bret Partridge, McAllister, Bertram or Haffner. In the normal course of events McAllister would never mind me.....the idea to be RJ...Why not?

Did anyone think why would they show Red John in the promo? Are you really pretty sure McAllister is Red John when we can clearly see him in the promo?

If there was no promo with McAllister, most of people would still think RJ must be Gale Bertram.......in this set of events I don´t dare to assume who it is. Many clues point to McAllister is Patric´s enemy, no doubt.

OK if he is it, it will be one of the biggest dissapointment I´ve ever had in my life becouse they showed him in the promo.....more better could be to make longer episode (60min. insted of 42)

if you understand me please comment

Didn't you notice the scene when Bertram was in the storage? The recepcionist called him "Mr. Thomas"... (Thomas Mcallister?). And what else? Inside the room, there were lots of box related to grape and wine, including the name of "Napa Valley" on it . If you've watched the second episode of the first season (when Mcallister appeared) you'd notice a lot of evidences, including images of grapes and a van with an advertising related to wine (Shand Greek Winery).

RJ could really be Sheriff Mcallister and Bertram could be just another psicopath...
