James Medina was the murder victim in Bloodshot. Dan Hollenbeck vowed to get revenge on Medina and Patrick Jane for destroying the "perfect" life he had since Medina had fired Dan's father, Paul Kraeger, after his divorce. Dan had Medina tied up in a van with a bomb, which exploded and killed him. His death was also used to send a warning to Jane that he was next.
