Kathryn Hawkes is an art buyer and the killer of Harry Lashley in Paint It Red. When Harry discovered her scheme to profit off forged copies of The Moro (selling one to the Russian mob while keeping the real painting for herself), he confronted her. To silence him, Katherine struck him with a bust, killing him. She staged the theft to cover her tracks, but Jane exposed her after proving that the paintings in circulation were fakes. Confronted with mounting evidence and a search of her apartment, Katherine confessed, admitting she never meant to kill Harry but sought to keep the masterpiece for herself.
